After his successful presentation at the Catholic University of Pernambuco, book about catalonia is launched in Barcelona. The author is the journalist Taíza Brito, editor of the portal Worldwide. At the event held on April 2, Taíza explained to spectators, including deputy Isaltino Nascimento (PSB), the facts that marked the referendum on self-determination in Catalonia, and the events linked to the arrests of independence leaders. On February 12, the Catalan independence leaders began to be tried in Madrid.
More than a book on Catalonia, it is a work on rights and democracy
Taíza Brito he wrote his book based on his own publications, and also on interviews with important voices of communication, such as the editor of the portal Vilaweb, Vincent Parthal, author of the prologue to 'Catalonia, between hope and the storm'. More than writing a book about Catalonia, the journalist, through a clinical and first-person analysis, reports the “attacks on democracy” and the “violation of rights in Catalan territory”. This was precisely the theme of the lecture to launch the book in Pernambuco, 'Democracy and the challenges of contemporary particularisms'.
This Wednesday, at 19:30 pm, Taíza Brito participates in a conversation with Vincent Parthal, who has a lot to say about the book and current Catalan politics. The book is launched at Vilaweb Space.
